SEO guide, you will learn nine powerful ways to help your site get to the top of Google quickly.

In fact one of my followers recently used these same techniques to rank number one for her target keyword. The best part is that you do not have to hire an agency to perform any of these DIY SEO techniques.

I'm Tom Kucharski the founder of The Mercen and today I'm going to reveal the top of my all-time favorite white hat SEO techniques.

Why is this SEO guide written?
It was written to give you, the reader, a guide to SEO techniques. These are things you can use to help your website rank and get more traffic. We will look at everything from schema.org to mobile marketing and site speed improvements. We will also help you make your website more visible to people searching the internet.

I'll be honest with you when I launched my first website I had no idea what I was doing so I hired a random SEO agency to SEO my site. Needless to say the agency didn't really do that when I decided to fire the agency and find myself in SEO by trial and error it took three long years but eventually I learned to do SEO the right way. .

Thanks to my proven techniques I recently ranked a website for some super competitive keywords like "gold IRA" etc.

Enter into actionable ways that starting using these words in your tag title will get more traffic.

Meta Titles

Last year SEO Pro Ross Judge decided to run an interesting SEO experiment.

Ross reviewed the 7999 pages that were ranked on the first page of Google so what he found was that Ross discovered that the top ranking pages tended to use these words in their title tags of what was happening here Google ranks websites that they get a high organic click-through rate.

According to Ross some terms tend to attract a lot of clicks from Google searchers and because pages that use these words in their tag title get more clicks they also rank higher.
In addition to the words Ross found here are a few more that I personally use to maximize my organic click-through rate. I will have another strategy that you can use to boost your click-through rate again later in this guide.
But for now let's jump right into DIY SEO tip number two:

Longtail Keywords

Access

Even if you post the best content in the world, it won't help even if no one will find your site. Search engines may not be of much help. You need to know to look at your website just like a search engine does. Then you can make changes to get a higher rank. The higher the site rank, the more likely people are to click here.

Speed and Performance

Google only uses site speed in 1% of their considerations. Many users favor quick responses. An improvement of page load time will help you increase.

Editor's note: You may have missed this article when CMI published it last year. We share this now because the contents of the market are always working to improve your keywords.

SEO does not always work the way we want it to. It's common for Google to rank a page based on keywords, unless we want a specific page to rank.

What can you do? How can you help Google improve the ranking of the keywords you want?

The simple answer is that you need to make sure Google "gets" the right signal from your page to optimize it, but it's not always easy.

The thin line separates optimization from over-optimization. Optimization is good because it increases your page rank, and over-optimization is bad because it can lead to completely opposite results.

Page ranking improves optimization. Over-optimization does the opposite, says @ReliablesoftNet. #SEOCLICK TO TWEET
Let's see how you can optimize a keyword's page and effectively improve its ranking while avoiding too many optimization errors.

Find the ranking first
Before you do anything else, find out where your page is now from the keywords you want to improve. Without a basis you cannot measure progress.

You can do this manually (i.e. search for a keyword on Google and focus on your position) or use a ranking tracking tool that can do this automatically daily.

Warning: Do not expect to move magically from position 40 to position 10. Progress is gradual, but you need to know your starting point.

Upgrade your #SEO, but don't expect a mysterious move from 40 to 10. Perfect takes time. @ReliablesoftNetCLICK ON TWEET

Explore options
Enter your target keyword in the Google Keyword Tool. You are looking for two things. First, look for variations of your target keyword, especially keywords that have long-term impact. Second, look at the competition for each of these keywords. You will use this data later.

Doing a quick keyword research will help you better understand what your keyword is and what other options you have. Then go to Google search engine and enter your keyword. Take a look at these three things:

Keywords offered by Google when writing keywords
google keyword

Pages that appear on the first page of search engine results
Suggestions for "related searches" at the bottom of the page

Review and confirm expectations
Preliminary investigation - before making any changes to the page - ensures that what you expect is correct. By expectations, I mean the result you want to achieve. Here are some tips to keep in mind:

Are your expectations realistic? If your target keyword has high volume of traffic, it also has high competition. Can you compete with those sites?

See the first 10 results. Any results from high-authority websites? Is Google ranking a domain (i.e., site homepage) or a single page for a particular keyword?

Click on the links to open the first five pages. Is both quantity and quality better than your content? Take a look at each site. Are these "big" sites with many pages? Do they have a blog? Are these corporate sites? Try to gather as much information as possible.
Why turn to all these problems? For one simple reason: While nothing is impossible in life, SEO is not everything.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but sometimes we value the truth more than we want to.
Sometimes we value not what we want, but what is true, says @ReliablesoftNet. #SEO Click the TWEET button
The good news is that there is a way and let me explain. I want to optimize my site for 'content marketing' but this is not possible. See Google results for this keyword.
